I wonder what if Bee-Line kept the zone D franchise? Would they survive until the MTA takeover? Would the BOT only take over local service in NE Queens that North Shore Bus ran? I did some more research and it turns out that Schenck, Bee-Line had different ATU locals than North Shore bus which was ATU 1056 all along. Also North Shore's zone B and zone D franchise had different expiration dates, their zone D franchise actually didn't expire until 1949. It now totally makes sense why the queens division has separate seniority lists at each depot. |
